Site Optimised for Internet Explorer 4.0 and above viewed in 800x600 resolution	The choir was formed in 1982 as the South Wales baptist Choir - it was to be a Christian choir which would be equally at home performing major classical works and contemporary Christian songs. It has certainly fulfilled this aim and much more. There are forty or so members from churches in South Wales who are busy throughout the year giving evenings of song and testimony, providing music for special occasions in local churches and large gatherings, recording for the media or for Cambrensis albums. They have made a number of cassettes and CD's of hymns and worship songs including one on the Kingsway label. The choir have toured twice in the USA and in many European countries including Hungary and Romania and have been privileged to sing in European and World Baptist gatherings. Under the direction of Kelvin Thomas, the group aims for musical excellence whilst maintaining Christian integrity, and provides opportunity for ministry through music, encouraging and complementing the local church in mission.
