Who's Who..

Left to right....

Jeffrey joined Cambrensis as a soprano at the age of 13 when the choir was formed. He studied music in Cardiff and then went on to the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since graduating, he has pursued a free-lance career as organist, pianist, singer, coach and conductor and has accompanied leading international singers including Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, Sir Willard White, Dennis O’Neill, Rebecca Evans and Jason Howard. Jeff regularly appears on television and radio with singers and choirs and contributes to the music of the BBC’s Songs of Praise and Dechrau Canu, Dechrau Canmol for S4C. A Welsh learner, he is an official accompanist at the Royal National Eisteddfod for Wales. For the last eighteen years, Jeffrey has also been a Vocal Coach at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama . He has accompanied many choirs on a regular basis including the Swansea Bach Choir and has been a leading figure in the big St David's Praise events that Cambrensis has held since 1989, training the large choir to an excellent standard. Jeff’s skills as an arranger are in great demand and he frequently provides pieces for the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales, S4C, Songs of Praise and various solo artists. So all these skills are being used now as he takes over at the helm of Cambrensis. Jeff is married to Rachael, a professional harpist and they have three children - Ollie, William and Katie. They are members of Highfields Free Church in Cardiff.

Anne Brown is administrator of Cambrensis Ministries. She is assistant director of the choir and leads the Cambrats and the St David's Praise Youth Choir. She and her husband James have recently taken up a new pastorate in Calfaria Baptist Church, Llangeinor. James set up and maintains the Cambrensis web site.

David Lewis, orchestra leader, got involved with Cambrensis when he played with the Welsh National Opera Orchestra in Cardiff. Since that time he has studied at London Bible College and is now a freelance violinist and an Early Music specialist. David is co-principal of the English Haydn Orchestra and works with many orchestras, including the London Handel Orchestra, the Academy of Ancient Music and the 18th Century Orchestra.
