'A SHOUT OF
JOY'![]() |
||
The first performance took place in Albany Road Baptist Church Cardiff on February 26th, and the Joy of the Lord was certainly present in the hearts of those who shared in this lovely evening of praise and worship. An almost full church joined with the Cambrensis choir and the Cambrats in a memorable evening focused on the life of the Lord Jesus Christ, with almost the entire repertoire comprising of orginal song compositions by Cambrensis Directors Kelvin Thomas and Anne Brown. Part of the work was then sung by a smaller choir group at the Baptist Gathering in the Rhydycar centre in Merthyr on March 11th. Another full performance is booked for the Baptist Churches in Exeter on March 18th. A companion album on CD and Tape will be available late May. |

Those who attended spoke of the atmosphere of worship which pervaded the whole event. Although it was linked to the Church's need to raise funds for a new building project, choirs and congregation melted into one worshipping body. The Cambrats helped to raise the 'Shout of Joy' to everyone's delight. |
