Following the joy of being able to hold The Promise of Christmas, we were able to squeeze in another lovely concert in December 2021, whilst of course observing all necessary regulations, before further Covid restrictions were imposed! At short notice one of our new Tenors, Tony Harris, gave his all in helping to organise the concert in his church, All Saints, Porthcawl. For those who braved the Winter cold and the uncertain situation, this proved to be a treat for all!
Conducting from the piano, Jeff Howard led the choir in a selection of our Christmas repertoire and the audience in some beautiful traditional carols – plus some lively ones!
The highlight had to be, though, the items provided by 3 young up and coming soloists who delighted us all with their excellent singing and varied choice of songs. They were Soprano Indeg Evans, Baritone Josef Gray and Tenor Joshua Olsen. We look forward to sharing a platform with them again where possible.
We were very happy to help raise money for two charities for whom there was a retiring collection: the Welsh Refugee Council and Porthcawl RNLI.
