Lorraine Vernon

Cambrats and Promise of Christmas Youth Choir Assistant Leader

Lorraine joined Cambrensis choir in September 2013, having sung in the St David’s Praise Choir for several years, and began helping with the Cambrats in January 2014.

Lorraine has really enjoyed getting involved in the Cambrensis family as it has brought her back to her first love of music. She grew up in Lanarkshire, Scotland and was involved in singing in choirs from an early age, including many times competing in the Burns Competitions, (a Scottish type of Eisteddfod!) and learning to play the piano and trombone.

She gained a B Ed (Hons) Music degree from Northern College of Education in Aberdeen and taught music for 7 years in a Secondary School in Tamworth.

Lorraine was very honoured to be asked by Anne Brown to be accompanist/deputy leader of the Cambrats and feels privileged to be at the helm of such a legacy. She looks forward to the challenge ahead!

Lorraine currently works as a Church Support Worker at Bethel Baptist Church in Whitchurch, Cardiff which is where she and her family are members.
