Exciting updates!
After many years of fun, enthusiastic and happy times, Cambrats has now formally come to an end. Started and run with such dedication and enthusiasm by Anne Brown in 1993, the group went from strength to strength and for several years were joined by a much larger group of children and young people from churches and schools in South Wales to form the Promise of Christmas Youth Choir.
Anne handed over the baton to Emily Porter in December 2018 and under her lively and able direction and with the help of her team, Jude, Kath, Jo and Paula, Cambrats continued to meet for a while via a series of workshops and some concerts, the last being Promise of Christmas 2021 when we had a window of opportunity during Covid times to hold this. However, Covid and lockdowns unfortunately put a stop to these and subsequently due to pressures of work and personal commitments, the team have had to call it a day. We are grateful to them for all their work, care and commitment to the children and young people.
Our new MD, Glenda, is training a small Youth Choir for Christmas 2023 and we hope that during 2024 there may be new Youth Choirs .Do look out here and on Facebook for any further info.
