Orchestras

Cambrensis Orchestra

The orchestra was originally formed to accompany the Choir’s classical works. It is made up of professional musicians, gifted amateurs, teachers and students and ranges in size from a pocket-sized quartet for foreign tours to a symphony orchestra for the large praise events. At the heart of the orchestra are a number of professional players, including the leader Dave Lewis, who seek to use their musical gifts in Christian ministry.

Cambrensis Concert Band

The Cambrensis Concert Band meet monthly, seeking to give an opportunity for brass and woodwind players of all ages (Grade 5 standard and above) to play together. Formed in the 1990s and conducted by David Elliott, they join with other Cambrensis groups for services and concerts as well as maintaining their own programme of concerts. The group has a valuable place in Cambrensis’ ministry. New players are always welcomed: the Band is un-auditioned, so contact us for more information.

Cambrensis Brass Quintet

The quintet, David and Jason Elliott, Niall Bell, Gareth Davidson and Julian Cann, meet regularly for rehearsal and fellowship and perform generally as part of concerts both within Cambrensis and for other groups too.
