Jeff Howard, our MD, decided to step down from his role for personal reasons in July 2022.We want to say a public thank you to him and to pay tribute to the incredibly high standard of musicianship and wealth of talent and experience he has brought to the Cambrensis family in the 10 years since he became MD. He will be missed and we wish him well for the future.
However, we also have some good news! Kelvin Thomas, the founder of Cambrensis, and MD for the first 30 years of its existence, has agreed to step in for an interim period. Kelvin, along with Jonathan Davies and Graeme Hunter (both already well known to us and to many audiences) will form a team approach as they lead us into a new and exciting phase of the choir’s ongoing ministry.
Under the circumstances, the Promise of Christmas event at St David’s Hall will not be taking place this year. There will, however, be a Christmas concert on the 3rd December 2022 at a venue yet to be confirmed. We will post about it here and on our Facebook page so do watch out for it and we look forward to you joining with us to celebrate the birth of Christ.
