Three Evenings with Cambrensis in 2024

In the first half of this year, as well as our Easter concert, we enjoyed three Evening With Cambrensis concerts raising awareness and funds for some amazing charities. At each concert we sang a variety of songs from light classical, traditional, gospel and contemporary worship and at one concert, a Les Mis medley!

On the 27th April we joined Pastor Andrew Love, his wife Jenny and the fellowship at Tabor Baptist Church in Llantrisant to help celebrate their 200th Anniversary. They raised an excellent amount of money to support the Caixao family in Mozambique who are building a school there with the support of the Africa Inland Mission. We even gained a new Bass for the choir following his attendance at that concert!

On the 8th June a smaller group were at Litchard Mission Church in Bridgend where we sang to raise funds for the work of Heronsbridge Special Educational School, known to many of us in the choir through its association with one of our longstanding members, Jane Owen, and her family.

Finally, on the 29th June we enjoyed singing at Rhiwbina Baptist Church, who now kindly host our weekly rehearsals, at the invitation of the  SaltPeter Trust who do much needed and great work in rural Uganda.

All concerts were under the direction of our MD, Glenda Pasley, and accompanied by Graeme Hunter. Choir members Richard Barrett, Richard Owen and Sue Williams shared the role of linking the songs, helping the audience to feel involved and gain more from the song words and the lovely music.

We are ready and waiting  to receive invitations to sing in 2025- do get in touch!
