Many of the audience at Highfields on Saturday 13th April remembered their first time of hearing and performing The Witness by Jimmy and Carol Owens in the 70s and 80s – as was obvious by the looks of glee as they recognised the familiar introductions, and the fact that some people joined in all the way through! It was a super night – just the right combination of great Christian music well performed and with a lovely sense of worship and a fitting start to Easter.
We were then privileged to repeat the performance at Headley Park Church in Bristol in September and which the church used as an outreach event.
We hope we gave it a 21st Century feel and a unique rendition, with Jeff’s fantastic orchestrations.
